1. Bolt Inspection
After the slewing drive is put into operation, the bolts should be inspected annually. After approximately the first 100 hours of use, re-tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Under unusual operating conditions, inspections can be performed less frequently. If loose bolts are detected, all bolts, washers, and nuts must be replaced immediately.
2. Lubrication
Among the slewing drive components, the raceways and tapered roller bearings of the slewing bearing are pre-greased at the factory. The contact area between the worm and the slewing bearing requires grease before use. Although pre-greased at the factory, re-grease should be determined during installation to avoid affecting machine operation.
